ANGELS FOR ANIMALS SEPTEMBER EVENTS |

Dammeron Valley BBQ Farewell and Benefit for Angels for Animals! What a wonderful night we had on September 8 at the Dammeron Valley BBQ!!! The dinner was from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and we had people waiting at the door to get in - they know what great food is served and they also came to support our rescue group. There was no charge for the dinner and Doris and Larry, the owners, supplied all the food and soft drinks and asked that the guests make a donation to Angels for Animals. Our volunteers worked as servers and had a wonderful time with all the terrific people who came. There was a band - good country music that had people clapping, singing along and tapping their feet. The Glory Hogs gave a really festive air to the dinner. We got some good pictures and here are some of them.
We surprised Doris and Larry with a farewell gift - they have been so supportive of Angels for Animals and will continue their support in their new restaurant, The Barbeque Bistro, in St. George.
We all had a great evening and the generosity of the guests was wonderful. Over $2000 was raised to help our foster animals and we are also able now to help the Trap/Neuter/Return program for feral cats that Kris Neal runs. She was also there to help at the dinner. There really aren't enough words to thank the guests enough for their help. We had a great time and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success. REMINDER - WE ARE COLLECTING BOOKS FOR OUR ANNUAL BOOK SALE IN ST. GEORGE IN OCTOBER. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE AND YOU CAN CALL 435-574-2220 TO HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP YOUR DONATION. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT IN THE PAST AND WE KNOW THIS SALE WILL BE A SUCCESS, TOO.

We need volunteers to walk and show off animals at the Adoptathons, help publicize and work at the rummage sales and pet parades, and there is always a place in Angels for Animals for someone who has the animals' best interests at heart. |
