NEW FRIENDS IN KANAB On our trips to Kanab to Best Friends Clinic to have our foster animals spayed/neutered and given their shots, we always stop at Ruthie's ARC in town. Ruthie and her volunteers work so hard to help the small rescue groups and all the profits from their thrift store are donated to the rescues. Now there are two new friends with great stores in Kanab. First is Joanne who has Critter Corner. She has all kinds of goodies for animals - foods, holistic meds, neat beds and cots, toys, lots of how-to books, candles (we especially like these), and more. And she makes you feel so welcome in her store, plus she is so knowledgeable about animals and what they need that we always learn something new when we shop there. Next is Pets and More Gift Shop and we are sure glad we found it. Beata is the owner and she worked at Best Friends for six years - we talked with her when she was there and she was always so helpful and kind. Now she has opened a shop where you can find all kinds of jewelry, wall hangings, beautiful household items all relating to animals, and it is a pleasure to shop there. We visited all three stores on our trip on May 9 and will go back again on May 30 - will take some pictures then and you will see what is available for animals (and people) in these really nice shops. GET READY!!! Here it comes! Another HUGE yard sale and book sale will be held on June 1,2 and 3 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday - at the foster care facility in Veyo from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We have so many great items for the yard sale and NO junk! And the selection of books is terrific, with low prices so you can purchase your summer reading material without breaking your budget. The address is 288 North Main Street and we hope to see you there. If you have any items to donate, please call 435-574-2220 and we will make arrangements to pick them up. All donations are tax-deductible and you will be making a difference for the animals. Ten percent of our profits will go to Adopt a Friend ads and the Trap/Neuter/Return program for feral cats.

Check on contact us if you would like to be involved in any one of the events being planned. We need volunteers to walk and show off animals at the Adoptathons, help publicize and work at the rummage sales and pet parades, and there is always a place in Angels for Animals for someone who has the animals' best interests at heart. |
