ANGELS FOR ANIMALS JULY EVENTS |

CROSS CREEK HELPERS On the first day of July, we had a group of ten young women from Cross Creek in LaVerkin here to help with clean-up at the facility and of course they also helped with the dogs and cats. We enjoy having the groups here, as they do great work and are so willing to help and seem to enjoy being here. And since it is officially summer, we now will barbeque every time a group comes. A few pictures of the young women who were here to work (and eat).
Yes, we do give breaks and it is fun just sitting around and talking to the young women. Most of them are not from Utah, so we learn a lot about their home states and also the animals that they have at home. SECOND HELP DAY! Another day with Cross Creek young women and it was a fun and productive day for all, especially the animals. We were happy to see Miss Marcy, one of the counselors, who had not visited us in a while. Lots of work done and time out for bbq chicken, macaroni salad, chocolate cake (a must-have) and water and sodas.
Checking to see how much sugar is really there!
Great job on clearing brush and weeds!
The cats waited for dropped goodies!
Jason had a ball with playmates - Melissa, one of our great volunteers, is in the middle.
And they were still smiling after all the work - with Leo, a camera hog! |
